Three reasons you should watch Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley.

Has there ever been a more divisive rising star in boxing than Jake Paul? While some people disregard his skills completely, there’s no denying that the YouTube star has come a long way in his prize fighting campaign. UFC newcomers and boxing fans may not see former welterweight king Tyron Woodley as a formidable threat, but long term fans of the sport have not forgotten the power he brings to the table. Whether you scoff at the match-up or show genuine intrigue, it’s safe to say that it’s anyone’s fight for the taking. With five fights playing out in total, the card is ripe with familiar names and promising prospects.

Here are three reasons to watch Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley, other than the obvious main event attraction.

Can Tommy Fury extend his undefeated record?

The Fury name is a prestigious one in the world of boxing. The Love Island star turned professional boxer has showed immense potential since his debut back in 2018, and fans are eager to see just how far he can go. With half-brother Tyson Fury arguably the best boxer on the planet, Tommy has a lot to live up to.

His opponent Anthony Taylor, is a Bellator MMA contender and served as a sparring partner for Paul just months ago. Showing no shortage of confidence in the lead up to the clash, Taylor will look to halt Fury’s momentum and turn in an upset. With tensions ripe between Fury and Paul, a win for both would almost guarantee a clash in the near future. Will Taylor establish himself in the world of boxing, or will Fury inch closer to the money fight?

Amanda Serrano, the best boxer you’ve never heard of

First of all, let’s lay out the statistics. 10 world titles, seven weight classes, 40 wins, 30 knockouts. A resume like no other. Serrano is fight hungry, and actively jumps up and down weight classes looking for belts to add to an ever growing collection. Oh, and she’s undefeated in MMA too, with two submission wins in her last two fights. On Sunday, Serrano has finally gotten the opportunity to showcase her skills to a massive audience, hoping to enlighten fans to the skill and excitement that women’s boxing has to offer. Serrano serving a boxing clinic in the co-main event of the Paul vs. Woodley card will surely sky-rocket her career and popularity.

Will Serrano’s ruthless style be on display, or can opponent Yamileth Mercado shock the world? With the WBC, WBO and IBO featherweight titles on the line, the stakes have never been higher for both fighters.

Heavyweight power on display as Daniel Dubois returns

Highly touted British prospect Daniel Dubois returns to action on Sunday. With 15 of his 16 wins ending in devastating fashion, the 23-year-old looks to enter title contention with another knockout.

After a barn burner against Joe Joyce ended with a broken orbital and nerve damage for Dubois, he has rebounded with a knockout against Bogdan Dinu. The top heavyweight contenders will be keeping a keen eye on this fight, and an impressive performance in his America debut would not only see his popularity rise, but he would climb closer to the top of the food chain. It’s hard to shake the feeling that Dubois, at such a young age, is something special.
