Oregon Ducks star defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux trolled the team’s doubters and LeBron James following the team’s 35-28 upset win.

The Oregon Ducks had never defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in nine games the two teams were pitted against each other. Oregon’s chances did take a hit after star pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux was ruled out of Saturday’s game due to an ankle injury. Yet, the Ducks went onto to pull off the upset of upsets by defeating the third-ranked school 35-28.

Thibodeaux was understandably hyped about the win, as he stood on the sidelines during the victory. He tweeted out a message for those who posted things that “didn’t age well.” He also took aim at Los Angeles Lakers star and huge Ohio State fan LeBron James by responding to an earlier tweet.

Kayvon Thibodeaux relishes in Oregon’s huge win over Ohio State

Thibodeaux recruiting James to come over to Oregon. Will the four-time NBA champion do so? Probably not, since he is a diehard Ohio State fanatic.

Entering this season, Thibodeaux was the consensus top pass rusher in all of college football. Thibodeaux got off to a strong start in the team’s opening week against Fresno State by recording a huge strip sack. However, he left the game in the first half after getting his lower leg rolled up on, resulting in him being ruled out for the game. He was ultimately ruled out for the Ohio State game just hours beforehand due to the injury.

The Ducks performed just fine despite Thibodeaux’s absence. While they did surrender 484 passing yards to quarterback C.J. Stroud, safety Verone McKinley III recorded a clutch interception late in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory for Oregon. Additionally, the Ducks defense only allowed Buckeyes running backs to accumulate 128 yards on 31 carries.

Oregon will look to continue their winning streak next weekend when they take on Stony Brook.
