2. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 6 – New England Patriots TE Hunter Henry

The tight end position is arguably the most difficult spot to fill for teams looking at weekly starters, let alone a bye week option. The New England Patriots didn’t do fantasy owners any favors in the offseason by signing both Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith during the offseason, taking two solid starters from a year ago and throwing them into a timeshare.

The good news is that rookie quarterback Mac Jones has developed a preference for Henry, who has drawn a consistent target share over the past three weeks. Henry has received at least five targets in each of the last three games, peaking in Week 5 with eight targets, which Henry turned into six catches for 75 yards and a touchdown.

The score made it two weeks in a row that Henry found paydirt, a sign that Jones is looking for his big tight end in the red zone. That ability to find the end zone makes Henry a starting option at tight end, particularly in 12-team leagues, now that he has started to separate himself from Smith.

Henry is rostered in 45 percent of Yahoo leagues and that percentage should rise off of this performance. Dates with Dallas and the Jets in the next two weeks provide plug-and-play potential for teams struggling to find production at tight end.
