8. Best games on the 2022 NFL Schedule – Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers

You could make a compelling argument that the 10 best games on the NFL schedule could be 10 AFC West games since the division is absolutely loaded. Since there are more than four teams in the NFL, however, we’ll spread the love by locking in just two AFC West matchups on this countdown.

This contest between the Broncos and Chargers will grab headlines for the battle at quarterback between Wilson and Los Angeles’ Justin Herbert, an ascending star at the position. Denver had a Super Bowl-ready roster that just needed a quarterback before surrendering five draft picks and three players to the Seattle Seahawks for the chance to add Wilson to their mix.

Herbert, on the other hand, was the result of a smart choice by the Chargers in the 2020 NFL Draft that has allowed them to build a contender while Herbert is on his rookie contract. Los Angeles barely missed the playoffs a year ago, losing to the Las Vegas Raiders in the final game of the season, and will look to get back to the postseason this year.

The quarterback battle here is the reason to watch since it will showcase a Super Bowl champion in Wilson against a rising young star in Herbert. The fact that the Broncos and Chargers also have a significant history against each other only adds to the fun of this game.
