28. team. 45. . 3-10. Previous: . Denver Broncos

The Broncos and Chiefs clashed in the Mile High City. Denver had lost the previous 13 meetings between the clubs. Things looked bleak as Nathaniel Hackett’s club trailed 27-0 in the second quarter.

Denver’s defense helped get the team back in the game by picking off Patrick Mahomes twice in the second quarter (and 3 times in the game). The Broncos scored a season-high 28 points but couldn’t prevent a fifth straight loss and their 10th setback of 2022.

New Orleans Saints. 27. team. 15. . 4-9. Previous:

The team had high expectations entering this season, however, the Saints are ensured of a losing campaign for the first time since 2016. Former defensive coordinator Dennis Allen succeeded Sean Payton as head coach and the club has yet to win two straight games.

New Orleans has turned over the ball 21 times and four of those miscues have been returned for touchdowns. Jameis Winston struggled early before going down and Andy Dalton has been erratic.

Arizona Cardinals. 26. team. 32. . 4-9. Previous:

The Cardinals returned from their off week and hosted the Patriots on Monday night. On the game’s first series, quarterback Kyler Murray went down and Colt McCoy took over. Kliff Kingsbury’s team forged a 13-10 lead after two quarters.

However, Arizona was done scoring for the evening. After intermission, the Cards were limited to only 126 total yards, McCoy was sacked five times in the second half and the team coughed up the ball twice.

Atlanta Falcons. 25. team. 44. . 5-8. Previous:

While this looks like an improved team in Arthur Smith’s second season as head coach, that progress has not translated into a lot of wins. Marcus Mariota (now nursing a knee injury) has had his ups and downs but the Atlanta offense has produced only 27 TDs in 13 games.

When the Falcons return to action in Week 15 at New Orleans, rookie Desmond Ridder will be the club’s new starting quarterback. The defense has disappointed again.
