Predicting the best free agent the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will sign: Derek Carr, QB

While Brady dips for Las Vegas, the Bucs now turn their attention to a quarterback swap. Tampa Bay ends up with former Raider, Derek Carr, to take Brady’s place.

In a funny way, the Bucs get much younger at the position, even though Carr is going to be 32 next season. With Vegas throwing in the towel on Carr, Tampa is able to plug and play another veteran into their offense.

Carr would have gone over 4,000 passing yards for the fifth-straight time this season had he not been benched for the team’s final two games. This is a guy who is experienced, poised and a pure competitor.

Over his nine years in the league, Carr has thrown 217 touchdowns versus 99 interceptions. He’s made the Pro Bowl three times, but hasn’t been there in six years. If Tampa can bring back a healthy offensive line and add talent in their secondary, they should be once again in contention with Carr under center.
