3 WNBA franchises that would be the best fit for Caitlin Clark
2. Chicago Sky
Another hypothetical ideal fit for Clark would be the Chicago Sky, who have the No. 3 pick in the draft and recently traded their franchise centerpiece in Kahleah Copper. This would be an ideal location (hypothetically) for Clark because she is a generational talent and would have a chance to help reshape this roster.
At this point, the Sky's roster is centered around Diamond DeShields, Isabelle Harrison, Brianna Turner, and Elizabeth Williams. These are all talented players but none is the kind of centerpiece who can single-handedly propel a team. They are, however, high-level role-players who could help support Clark right off the bat as the team builds a contender.
Clark would bring this team a combo guard who can score in bunches, get others involved, and provide durability. Teresa Weatherspoon would also be a great coach for the Iowa native, helping her develop on the defensive end and add to her already impressive offense game.
Chicago would benefit from drafting Clark because of her ability to fill the stands and connect with the community. The city of Chicago needs a jolt of energy in the sports world.
