Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson has had his way with the Green Bay Packers this season and he will get a third crack at the Green Bay defense this weekend during their Wildcard Weekend match up. During the two games against Green Bay this season, Peterson 210 and 199 yards.

Packers linebacker Clay Matthews says that won’t be happening again.

We aren’t giving up 200 again,” Matthews told USA Today.

“We want to take [Peterson] out of the mix. That’s definitely the game plan. If we can limit those carries and force Ponder to beat us, then that’s the game plan we’re going to play. We need to do a better job of stopping the run, and we will do that. And that will help us get after the quarterback.”

The Packers chances of winning greatly increase if they can slow down Peterson, but good luck with that. How good do you have to be when the opponent’s goal is to hold you under the 200 yard milestone?

Green Bay will be throwing different looks at Peterson all day long, but you can be sure he will be running with an added motivation once he gets his eyes on this sign in a Packers bar that was mocking falling just short of the single-season rushing record.
