The Strikeforce organization will be closing the door and shutting down operations following Saturday night’s event at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Strikeforce’s final show is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Nate Marquardt and challenger Tarec Saffiedine.

Also on the card are top heavyweights Daniel Cormier and Josh Barnett who will be facing little known opponents in their final fight in the Strikeforce cage. Gegard Mousasi and Mike Kyle will face off in an exciting light-heavyweight bout, with Jacare Souza and Ed Herman opening the card in a catchweight matchup.

On the night’s undercard, some potential future UFC stars will also showcase their skills. Names like Pat Healy, Roger Gracie, Tim Kennedy, K.J. Noons and Ryan Couture will all be looking to make a statement as they prepare for the next step in their careers.

Saturday night’s event is going to be a great one as the fighters will be auditioning for UFC president Dana White. The winners will likely head over to the UFC, with the losers futures in jeopardy.
