The Baltimore Ravens took care of business on Saturday against the Denver Broncos to clinch their spot in the AFC Championship. On Sunday, the Ravens watched from home as the New England Patriots easily took care of the Houston Texans. One of the players watching, Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, was not impressed with New England despite the Patriots blowing Houston out of the water.

Ayanbadejo specifically pointed out the Pariots “gimmick offense” and didn’t stop taking shots at next week’s opponent there.

That was likely enough bulletin board material for Ayanbadejo to provide the Patriots, but he felt like he had more to say.

This probably wasn’t Ayanbadejo’s smartest move.

It’s a shame that Ayanbadejo is primarily a special teams player, because we won’t get to see him line up against that “gimmick offense” that New England runs.

But while Ayanbadejo may not be facing the Patriots offense, you can be sure they will catch wind of these comments and be fired up to face the Ravens defense. If Tom Brady’s previous performances against trash talking players is any indication, the scorekeeper in New England could be in for a busy day next weekend.
