San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis was shooting a promo for CBS to hype up the Super Bowl matchup and when Davis started to get a little animated he nearly knocked the Lombardi Trophy off of the stand. If the trophy would have fallen, that would have doomed the 49ers with bad karma for tonight’s matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Here is the moment that almost spelled the end of the Lombardi Trophy:
It was a nice save and quick reaction time from Davis. He will need to display those same soft hands and hand-eye coordination during tonight’s game.
In his four career postseason games, Davis averages a stellar 110.5 receiving yards per game. He could create some serious mismatches for the 49ers offense tonight and be a major part of the team’s offensive success.
