Magic Johnson is one of the greatest Lakers to ever have lived, but he’s  more than a little fed up about the play he’s seeing from his former team as of late. The Lakers currently sit in 10th place in the Western Conference and are 3-and-a-half games out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference Playoffs.

That means despite acquiring Dwight Howard and Steve Nash in the offseason and hiring Mike D’Antoni during the season, should the games end today the Lakers would be two spots out of the playoffs and officially on the outside looking in.

Loss Angeles — I had to.

But while the Lakers are losing, Magic Johnson is fed up with seeing his team slip so far and last night’s loss to rivals the Boston Celtics, Johnson snapped and basically said he’s embarrassed to have ever played for a team that shows such little heart.

Johnson also took a shot at owner Jerry Buss, telling him to get off his rich behind and actually travel with the team so he can see just exactly what’s going wrong and find a way to fix it.

Johnson finished his flaming of the Lakers by congratulating Kevin Garnett on scoring his 25,000th point in the game. We all knew there was something wrong with the Lakers, but once former players start pulling plugs you know something drastic needs to happen.
