This past NFL season Richard Sherman emerged as the king of trash talk in the NFL but another guy who likes to run his mouth is sick of hearing about it. New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis missed the 2012 season with a torn ACL, and with the sudden success of the Seattle Seahawks, Richard Sherman suddenly believes he’s the best cornerback in the NFL.

Darrelle Revis wholeheartedly disagrees.

Sherman declared himself the best cornerback in the NFL and when a fan brought up Revis, Sherman was quick to dismiss him due to his injury. Revis didn’t stay quiet and fired right back saying he’d never seen Richard Sherman in his life before and that Sherman shouldn’t be worried about Revis as competition, he needs to worry about getting burned by Roddy White.

Sherman was apparently on a flight and didn’t have access to Twitter but once he landed he gave the little Twitter beef a read-through and had a chuckle over Revis thinking he was better than him.

Next season will be the true test as both Revis and Sherman are expected to be healthy and both will be in competition with one another even if they aren’t going to admit it. Sherman exploded onto the scene last season but if he slips up even a little bit, he’s more than opened himself up to criticism from not only fans but fellow players he’s had no problem trash talking the entire season — and offseason.
