Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith is one of the hottest topics in the discussions with many wondering where the star will land and the picture is beginning to become clearer.

Reports indicate that the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns are emerging as the front-runners for Smith’s services, but there is one darkhorse candidate in the mix.

The darkhorse candidate in the Josh Smith sweepstakes is the Boston Celtics, a source told Yahoo! Sports.

The drama is building and it is going to be interesting to see if the Celtics can come on strong late in the afternoon with time dwindling down.

If you’d have to pick one potential for Smith right now, the Milwaukee Bucks appear to be the most likely candidate. Milwaukee and Atlanta are involved in “serious talks” for Smith and it was reportedly shortly after that the Bucks are raising their offer for J.J. Redick.

Teams will soon be running out of time, so their best offers will need to be on the table shortly. Buckle up and get ready for the ride.
