We have all heard about the comeback attempt at a NFL career for former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell. While Russell has been working hard to get his weight down and his conditioning up to par, it seems that he is setting a date with impressive NFL scouts in mind.

According to DraftInsider.net’s Tony Pauline, Russell will be holding a personal Pro Day in April. Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is also expected to participate.

Russell has been out of the league since 2009, so it will be interesting to see if he can get into playing shape in such a short time.

Do you think Russell will get another opportunity in the NFL? There are a lot of quarterback needy teams in the league and all it takes is one team to be willing to give you that shot, so never rule anything out.
