Kyle Larson Nationwide Wreck Sends Engine Flying into Stands (Video)

The Nationwide Series finished today’s race with a horrifying accident involving Kyle Larson on the final lap of the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway. Larson’s car went airborne and smashed into the fence as his car was ripped to shreds and numerous other cars were damaged.

During the wreck, Larson’s engine and tire went flying into the crowd.

It was a very scary scene that left drivers shaken after the race concluded.

Tony Stewart won the race, but the real story at the end of the race was the crash that appears to have injured numerous spectators.

Reports have been passed along that many stretchers were seen in the crowd and around twenty ambulances were on the scene. A medical helicopter has also been brought to the scene to help transport injured spectators.

We are hoping that everyone emerges from the accident and carnage of the wreck without any tragic injuries. It was certainly a scary end to the day and will set a somber tone heading in to tomorrow’s Daytona 500.
