Former long-time Indianapolis Colts pass rusher Dwight Freeney was released early in the offseason and there is some buzz about a possible destination for the free agent. It should come as no surprise, but Freeney and his former teammate Peyton Manning could be headed for a reunion with the Denver Broncos.

Denver is looking to talk defensive end Elvis Dumervil into taking a pay cut, but if that fails they have a back up plan.

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, if Dumervil is not willing to restructure his deal, the team could part ways with their former sack leader and bring in Freeney, who Manning has already began recruiting and openly campaigning for.

Freeney may be four-years older than Dumervil, but he is still a productive player and should be motivated with a new home.
