With free agency beginning to slow down, there are a number of starting caliber players on the open market who can be had at a discounted price. Among the top players left on the market are future Hall of Famers and perennial Pro Bowlers. One team that is still actively shopping and looking through the remaining free agents is the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland is still looking to improve their defensive backfield and one way they could boost the talent is by signing Atlanta Falcons free agent corner Brent Grimes, who the team is now interested.

According to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports:

There is little doubt that Grimes is one of the top ten players left in free agency and he is certainly at the top of his positional class. Grimes did tear his Achilles’ tendon last September, so it is very possible that the uncertainty of his health could be scaring teams off.

For what it’s worth, Grimes is six months into his recovery.

If he is fully healthy and the Browns are able to secure his talents, it could go a long way towards improving their defensive backfield.
