America loves the underdog, and Wichita State is currently the darling of a nation. Wichita State entered the NCAA March Madness tournament as a No. 9 seed and have fought their way to the Final Four and have officially become the Cinderella team of the tournament. Obviously, the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles are the true cinderella team, but the Shockers have done exactly what their name suggests and stunned everyone by reaching the Final Four for the first time in the school’s history.

Ohio State was riding high after an adrenaline pumping win in the Sweet 16, but they didn’t have enough left in the tank to overpower the Shockers, ho shut down the Buckeyes and took their best player out of the game. Nothing can make up for Aaron Craft’s terrible day from the field, as he couldn’t spark his team at all during the game. Craft finished the game 2-for-11 shooting and 2-for-6 from beyond the arc which ended up sinking the Buckeyes down the stretch of the game.

The Buckeyes pulled close to the Shockers late in the game, but it was Craft’s poor day shooting that really crippled any comeback Ohio State was hoping to make. His missed buckets were crucial in the end, and while the Badgers as a unit were out hustled by Wichita State, Craft didn’t do his team any favors.

But the story is Wichita State, who become another team in a rare line low-seeded teams to make a march through the madness and into the Final Four in Atlanta. But the Shockers are living up to their name and now face a showdown with either Louisville or Duke in the Final Four. But while a matchup with either team looks daunting, let’s not forget the road the Shockers have paid to get here and that even Louisville and Duke may not be able to stop the run this Cinderella team is on right now.
