The Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks have finally agreed to complete a trade that will send quarterback Matt Flynn to the Bay Area. Reports of the two teams beginning talks surfaced late last week and it was only a matter of time before the deal went through. Despite what ESPN may want you to believe, Jay Glazer of FOX Sports was the first to pass along the news. Oakland will send two late picks to Seattle as compensation.
Per Glazer:
OAK has traded 2 picks to Seattle for Matt Flynn, will sign papers on it this AM & now trying to finalize Carson Palmer to AZ for late pick

The 2 picks the Raiders sent for Flynn are in 2014 and 2015 draft. Both are later rounds

As Glazer also noted, Arizona is now looking to acquire Carson Palmer.
The moves from Oakland and Arizona will now signal bad news for this year’s crop of quarterbacks. With Oakland and Arizona making moves, it is less likely that they will be willing to invest a first-round pick in a young signal-caller.
Buffalo was also in the mix for a quarterback early, but they signed Kevin Kolb.
It will be interesting to watch how the top of the draft will now develop with quarterback needy teams investing picks in veteran quarterbacks and focusing their attention elsewhere.
