Cal wide receiver Keenan Allen has watched his stock plummet during the draft season, but he had a chance at redemption at his Pro Day on Tuesday. With a solid performance, Allen could have worked his way back in to the first-round discussion. Unfortunately, that’s not how it played out.

When Allen lined up to run his 40-yard dash, he left everyone doing double-takes at their stop watches for all of the wrong reasons.

What did Allen time during his runs?

Ouch.

To be fair, times will vary based on who was holding the timer, but it’s not a glowing endorsement for Allen’s long speed.

Luckily for Allen, his strengths are quickness in space and his burst in and out of cuts, so the poor forty time may not be as big of an issue as it appears. The real problem for Allen is that teams will now have to wonder just how long the PCL injury he has been dealing with will hurt his performance.

Allen should be considered a second-round pick.
