NFL Jersey Sales: Robert Griffin III Sets All-Time Sales Record
By Josh Sanchez
Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III excited the Washington Redskins fan base last season and provided a spark for the franchise. The excitement surrounding the team was at an all-time high, and it was all thanks to Griffin’s performance on the field.
As a direct result of Griffin making big plays on a weekly basis and sparking his team, he was able to sell a record number of jerseys on NFLShop.com, according to numbers provided by the NFL’s Joanna Hunter.
Griffin’s jersey sales set an all-time record.
It helps that Griffin was a rookie last season and had a lot of hype surrounding him after the team unloaded future draft picks to secure his place with the team.
While the jersey sales are nice, Griffin will be focused on recovering from his serious knee injury and returning to the field to create the same magic that excited his fans last season and got them to go out and buy his jersey.
