New York Yankees to Play ‘Sweet Caroline’ as Sign of Support to Boston

While we continue to comprehend the unspeakable acts that took place during the Boston Marathon on Monday, the world continues to go on and we must try to find a way to carry on despite our heavy hearts.

If there is one thing that we can take away from situations like this and place in a positive light, it is that the greater human spirit always prevails and we come together and grieve as one nation. We always show are support to those that need it, and we grow stronger as a result.

While sports are just a small part in life’s greater picture, it provides an escape and a way for everyone to gain a sense of normalcy.

For baseball fans tonight, the New York Yankees are doing their part to show support of the Boston community when they play the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight. The Yankees – Red Sox rivalry takes a back seat as the Yankees organization is showing their strong support of the city and victims from Monday afternoon’s horrible tragedy.

Now that is class. Mad respect to the Yankees for stepping up and showing their support of Boston. Every little gesture helps, and this can speak volumes to the Boston community.
