There is now very little doubt that a run on offensive tackles will be starting very early in the draft. It isn’t out of the question that the top three players at the position — Luke Joeckel, Eric Fisher and Lane Johnson — will be off the board in the top five picks. If that happens, former Alabama Crimson Tide star DJ Fluker would be next in line to hear his name called.

The question is: how early are teams willing to reach for Fluker?

There have been discussions about the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers considering Fluker just outside the top ten, but now it looks like he could be selected even earlier.

NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline says that Fluker could go as early as No. 7 overall. He writes:

"This afternoon I was informed by separate sources the Arizona Cardinals will consider DJ Fluker/T/Alabama with the 7th pick of the draft. At face value it seems a bit early for Fluker but his body type, power and football ability has NFL decision makers excited. Fluker is also considered a quality person, which only adds to his value."

With the way the draft looks to be playing out, it is very unlikely that Fluker makes it out of the top half of round one.

We will find out for certain just how early Fluker is off the board in less than a week when the 2013 NFL Draft takes place at Radio City Music Hall.
