It was reported yesterday that there is a 75 percent chance the New York Jets will trade cornerback Darrelle Revis to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next week and now they are one step closer. A report on Sunday morning states that Revis will be visiting with the Buccaneers and meeting with their team doctors, which makes the potential trade that much closer to reality.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

"Breakthrough: Jets have granted permission for CB Darrelle Revis to visit Tampa Bay and undergo a physical with the Buccanners, per sources. — Adam Schefer"

With the visit and physical upcoming, it looks like we are much closer to a trade.

Once Tampa Bay is able to have their doctors look at Revis’ knee and determine how he has recovered from the torn ACL, they could be much more willing to part ways with their draft picks and bring the league’s best cornerback to town.

We should have a resolution in the next few days, but all signs point towards Revis becoming a Buccaneer.
