The New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are working towards the final stages of a deal that will send star cornerback Darrelle Revis to Florida in exchange for a number of draft picks. The final piece to the puzzle came today when the Jets granted Revis permission to visit the Buccaneers and take a physical. Once that is complete, a deal is likely to be struck.

According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, a deal is in place and it should be finalized by Monday.

There will not be any official word on compensation until the deal is finalized, but initial talks had the two teams discussing  a package of a first-, third- and fifth-round picks. The picks will likely be spread out over the next two drafts, but the first-rounder is expected to be in 2013.

It will be interesting to see what the Jets will be able to do with two first-round picks if the trade does in fact go through.

We will get those answers in just a few days when the Jets are officially on the clock.
