Mike Mayock’s 2013 NFL Mock Draft

NFL Draft guru Mike Mayock released his one and only mock draft of the season on Wednesday, just one day before the 2013 NFL Draft. Mayock is one of the most respected men in the industry and he always has a good sense on what teams will do with their picks.

When Mayock speaks, we listen.

That said, his 2013 mock draft offers some very interesting surprises at the top of the draft and then a few surprising names near the bottom. Names like Justin Pugh, who has been getting first-round buzz over the past few days, enters Mayock’s mock draft at No. 19, while the top three offensive tackles are off of the board by pick No. 4.

Just how does Mayock have the first-round playing out? Here is a look at his top ten:

1. Kansas City Chiefs – Eric Fisher, Offensive Tackle, Central Michigan

2Jacksonville Jaguars – Luke Joeckel, Offensive Tackle, Texas A&M

3. Oakland Raiders – Sharrif Floyd, Defensive Tackle, Florida

4. Philadelphia Eagles – Lane Johnson, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

5. Detroit Lions – Ezekiel Ansah, Defensive End, BYU

6.  Cleveland Browns – Geno Smith, Quarterback, West Virginia

7. Arizona Cardinals – Jonathan Cooper, Guard, North Carolina

8.  Buffalo Bills – Tavon Austin, Wide Receiver, West Virginia

9. New York Jets – Dion Jordan, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Oregon

10.  Tennessee Titans – Dee Milliner, Cornerback, Alabama

Cleveland will go with defence at 6 or trade down to get 2nd round pick. geno smith makes to much since.
remember it’s Cleveland no matter what we will screw it up.

Seriously Mayock? Cleveland and Geno Smith. I pray they don’t waste a pick on the next Akili Smith. The Browns have a much greater need at cornerback, safety and tight end. Weeden should do just fine under Chud and Turner. They need to trade down and pick up a second round pick. Smith would set the franchise back another 3-5 years. #noqbinfirstrd
