After months and months of speculation that the Buffalo Bills would pair former Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib with his college head coach Doug Marrone, they were on the clock with a chance to do just that.

Unfortunately for Nassib, the Bills decided to look another direction with the quarterback position. The Bills nabbed Florida State signal-caller EJ Manuel.

There was a lot of buzz heading in to the draft that EJ Manuel would be a top twenty selection, and that is exactly what happened. He is a big quarterback with a nice deep ball and athleticism. His versatile skill set can make him an intriguing weapon in the Bills offense.

It has to be heart-wrenching for Nassib, who thought his college coach would make him the pick. Instead, he will have to wait to hear his name called.
