The Chicago Blackhawks enter the NHL Playoffs the hottest team in hockey. They started the season in record setting fashion and haven’t looked back since. They’ve experienced some hiccups along the way, but for the most part the Blackhawks have remained hot and have yet to meet an opponent that has truly dominated them.

As for the Minnesota Wild, they’re returning to the playoffs after missing the postseason in consecutive seasons. The Wild spent big in the offseason to reel in top free agents Zach Parise and Ryan Sutter, which is a gamble that has paid off. Both Parise and Sutter have ben solid all season long, but it’s all about clicking. The Wild have bee sporadic when it comes to stringing together wins, and you can look no further than their 6-1 loss to the lowly Edmonton Oilers in a game they needed to win near the end of the season to see how hit and miss this team can be.
