The Indiana Pacers took a giant step towards continuing their playoff run with a big win in Game 1 over the New York Knicks. Granted, the Knicks were playing with a banged up Carmelo Anthony, the Pacers still took it to New York and have a much needed 1-0 lead on the series. This is one that will likely go all seven or at least come close to it, so getting that first game is huge.

As for the Knicks, Melo needs to get fully healthy and they need to shake whatever happened in the Boston series that almost caused them to totally meltdown. A lot of people will say that’s just the way things go for the Knicks, but this team has talent that just needs to be tapped into like it was for the first three games of their first round series.
