If Titus Young was trying to make an NFL comeback, he seriously hindered those chances over the course of the last 72 hours. Young was arrested twice in one day on Sunday after he was busted first on suspicion of DUI and then again for attempting to steal his impounded car from a police lot. But hey, at least he’s staying active on Sundays as it’s actions like this that have forced Young to find other ways to entertain himself on that particular day.

Per The Oakland Press:

"Young was stopped and arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center and later issued a citation and released from custody. Hours later, at 2:22 p.m. that day, officers responded to a tow company yard where a man was seen jumping over the fence."

Young looked to have a promising career with the Detroit Lions until he went berserk on them and sabotaged the team in their Thanksgiving Day game against the Houston Texans. Young was quickly deactivated and promptly cut after the season ended. He landed a stint in St. Louis that literally lasted him hours before he was once again cut.

The NFL will without a doubt be punishing Young for being arrested twice in a 15 hours span of time, as Roger Goodell is not fond of players abusing league policies.

Young seems to be yet another sad case of a player not yet ready for the stardom of the NFL. It’s bright lights and big money on this stage and some guys don’t know how to handle it. Hopefully Young gets whatever help he needs as he still has time to turn his life around. But this is one heck of a wake up call and it undoubtedly puts his NFL future on an indefinite hiatus.
