While the on-field results haven’t been up to par with Dodger fans expectations recently, their results off the field most certainly have been.

Just a few days after Matt Kemp‘s unbelievable act of kindness for a disabled fan, Dodgers starting pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu decided to take time out of his warmup to play catch with a young fan sitting in the left field bleachers.

With a hat tip to Mike Oz at Big League Stew, the video (captured by DodgerFilms) below shows a young boy by the name of “Deuce” who is a regular at Dodger home games, playing catch with the Dodgers “rookie”.

The two played catch for about five minutes and it probably would have went on longer if the Dodgers hadn’t wrapped up their batting practice.

It’s one hell of a memory for the kid.

I’m sure we can all recall the first time we walked into a Major League stadium (or any stadium, for that matter) and saw the vast field of green – the feeling we had. And to get to play some catch with one of your favorite players? You can’t get much better than that.

A big kudos to the Dodgers, especially Ryu and Kent for going beyond the call of duty and creating lasting memories.
