Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has been working to familiarize himself with his new wide receiver Mike Wallace and the two seem to be getting along just fine. Tannehill showered Wallace with comments after the first time the two worked out and now Wallace is returning the favor to his quarterback.

“Both have strong arms. Ryan has a cannon, can really fling it,” Wallace said, via the Miami Herald. “Ryan may be able to throw the ball a little farther than Ben. Obviously, Ben is more experienced in game time experience. The way it’s going, it won’t take long for Ryan to be one of the great quarterbacks. I feel like we can make a lot of big plays.”

Of course, the two still have a lot of work to do before their chemistry gets to the level the team wants it to be and Wallace has acknowledged that.

“By the time we get to training camp, we’ll be fine. We throw two to three times after practice every day,” Wallace said. “I like this team. I like how everybody works. Not much talking, just grinding. That’s the way it should be. I’m one of the older guys on this team, so it’s different than being in Pittsburgh.”

If the two can get on the same page, it will be great for the Dolphins and make their free agency spending spree well worth it.

The real question in Miami is whether or not that offensive line will be able to give Tannehill the time he needs to hit Wallace down the field.
