Free agent cornerback Charles Woodson is still looking for a job, but there is one team that continues to be linked to the future Hall of Famer. Woodson and the Denver Broncos appear to be a match and the interest could be mutual and now there is another man who is giving some positive remarks on the Woodson front.

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning recently spoke to the media and said that he would love to have Woodson come to town.

We’re always looking to add great players,” Manning said, via the Broncos official website.

“That has been pretty evident since the time I’ve been here that management is always looking to add excellent football players through the draft or via free agency. I had a chance to visit with Charles when he was here last week and certainly, that’d be a great addition to our team. I know there is the business side of it that comes into play, but there’s no question that any time you can add good football players at any position, I think that’s always a good thing.”

The Broncos could certainly use help in the defensive backfield and there is no better talent available than Woodson.

Woodson fills a major need for the Broncos, while he gets a chance to be on a Super Bowl contending team once again before the end of his career. It’s a win-win situation.
