NBA Draft Lottery 2013: Oklahoma City Thunder Possibilities

The Thunder own the Toronto Raptors’ first-round pick this year as long as it doesn’t fall in the top three. If the lottery goes chalk, then the Thunder will end up with the 12th overall pick. There is definitely a good chance that they will look to move up or down in this draft depending on how much they like some of the prospects.
Most people think the Thunder will go with a big man with this pick. Amnestying Kendrick Perkins seems as logical as ever after the season and replacing him with a starting center for the future will be a big need.
If Alex Len or Cody Zeller are on the board when the Thunder pick, both could be very good fits. There’s also a chance that a player like Anthony Bennett may be available if the Thunder get to pick in the top eight or so and he could be a great fit too and someone with the potential to score from the low post at the next level.
The other option may be to go get another athletic wing like Victor Oladipo or even Shabazz Muhammad.
Chances are that Sam Presti will come up with someone in mind that he really likes and then the Thunder will make a strong push for that player. Otherwise, expect the Thunder to trade out of the lottery.
