Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is recovering from a torn ACL suffered at the end of last season and he is making some serious progress. Griffin has been working hard to make sure he is ready for Week 1 of the season and today he returned to the field for some football drills.

Albert Breer of the NFL Network shared the video of Griffin rehabbing on the field during drills:

While Griffin still obviously has a long way to go before he is 100 percent, it is great to see that he is out on the field and showing off his progress. Griffin will need to make sure he doesn’t push too hard, though.

He is working to get back for the season-opener, but if he pushes himself too hard he could suffer a setback that would put that goal in serious jeopardy.

Let’s hope Griffin continues to improve at this rate. It is pretty clear that he is already ahead of schedule.
