Michael Vick may not be the same quarterback that he once was before entering the league, but the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback still believes he has the elite speed that initially made him a star. With quarterbacks like Robert Griffin III and Colin Kaepernick making an impact in the NFL, Vick wants to remind us all that he is still the fastest there is.

“These guys are young and they’re fast and they’re quick, the thing I do have is a very quick get-up,” Vick said, via the Dan Patrick Show. “I really don’t feel like there’s a quarterback in the league who can beat me in a 40-yard dash. If somebody wants to set something up, I’ll be more than glad to accept the challenge. But as of right now I’m going to say me. But Colin Kaepernick is fast and RG3 is fast as well.”

Vick did reportedly beat teammate LeSean McCoy in a 40-yard dash race this season, so maybe there is something to his confidence with his speed.

The former No. 1 overall pick may have trouble holding on to the ball and he may be aging, but that doesn’t mean that he is slowing down. Whether or not Vick is the fastest quarterback in the league is hard to prove, but there is no doubt he ranks near the very top.
