The Indiana Pacers are currently locked in perhaps the most entertaining series of the postseason at the moment as they sit deadlocked with the Miami Heat after two games. There is no doubting the physicality and emotion being poured into the series by those on the hardwood but the battle doesn’t begin and end there. NBA announcers are one of the most outspoken groups when it comes to professional announcers pulling for the team that employs them and Pacers play-by-play man Mark Boyle is living right up to that assertion.

Boyle blasted Miami Heat fans, a common thing to do among those who watch basketball, calling them “losers” for leaving Game 2 before the final buzzer sounded.

“These losers are leaving,” Boyle said, via Page Q Sports. “They are flocking to the exits with their team down by three. This city does not only not deserve this team, they don’t deserve any team.”

Knocking Heat fans isn’t the most original thing to do as there are more jokes about Heat fans than R. Lee Ermey insults in Full Metal Jacket. But Boyle is taking his shots where he can get them and it’s a precursor to what we can expect for the remainder of this series between Miami and Indiana. Plus, what is Boyle supposed to say? He’s just doing his job and riling up Pacers fans by telling them what they want to hear.

Taunting Heat fans isn’t hard to do but the Pacers continue to talk big and have backed it up only 50 percent of the time so far. Their play has been on the rise but their trash talk throughout the organization is still light years ahead of where they are in the series and another win in Game 3 will only amplify and intensify the talk coming out of Indiana during this series.
