The Houston Texans are coming off of yet another empty season that ended in bitter playoff defeat. Two years running the Texans have won a playoff spot and last year they raced out to one of the best records in football before the bottom fell out on them. One of the main reasons the Texans are consistently ranked as a top team has to do with running back Arian Foster.

Foster was carted off the field on Tuesday at Texans’ OTAs with what is being reported as a calf injury.

Texans beat writer John McClain (no not that John McClain), reports that Foster appears to have strained his calf and indicates that the injury  isn’t that serious considering other injuries players are carted off the field for.

Usually when a guy is carted off the field it means something serious. A strained calf muscle isn’t fun but it’s not something that will sideline Foster for a significant amount of time. His body is something to keep an eye on though as the Texans can’t afford to lose a massive weapon like Foster for any duration during the season and Texans fans are hoping this is just a random injury and not the start of an injury filled season for Houston.
