Terron Armstead was selected in the 2013 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints as a third-round pick out of Arkansas–Pine Bluff. The initial belief was that Armstead was very raw, but athletically gifted and that he had the potential to one day develop in to a starting caliber offensive tackle. However, Armstead hasn’t wasted any time making a positive impressive on the coaching staff.
According to Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Armstead has been working with the first-team offense.
#Saints OT Charles Brown was back but running with third team. Rookie Terron Armstead ran with 1s today. They're obviously rotating.

Fellow offensive tackle Charles Brown is returning from an injury and working his way back in to the line up, so once he is healthy he will compete with Armstead for the starting gig.
It should be expected that Brown will win the starting job, but it is a positive sign that Armstead is working with the first-team offense during OTAs and getting those valuable reps.
