According to Kings blog of the Sacramento Bee, the Sacramento Kings are considering bringing back former Kings player and superstar Chris Webber. No, not as a player, but as a member of the team’s front office.

The Kings are finally under new ownership and the majority owner Vivek Ranadive is exploring options for a new general manager. Larry Bird is among the names that have been mentioned, but the two parties have not yet met. Other than a new GM, the Kings will try to reshape the front office a little bit, which is where Webber comes in.

"“The Kings have also had discussions about bringing in former star Chris Webber to the organization in some role. Webber is not a candidate to be the team’s general manager.” – via Sacramento Bee"

While Webber is a popular name in Sacramento, it is hard seeing him leaving his broadcasting career behind unless he is offered a great position.

Webber played 6.5 seasons with the Kings and was a 5-time All-Star.
