Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson is going to be serving 30 days in jail after violating his parole that was set following a domestic violence incident that involved his former wife Evelyn Lozada. The parole violation allegedly came because Johnson failed to report to his probation officer on two separate occasions and failed to show proof of enrollment in a domestic violence education class.

During his court hearing today, Broward County Judge Kathleen McHugh determined that Johnson was in violation of his parole and ordered him to be arrested.

Bond has been set at $1,000.

Apparently during the hearing Johnson slapped his attorney on the butt and that didn’t sit well with the judge, who thought that he wasn’t taking the case seriously enough.

For Johnson, it definitely ends any chance of making an NFL comeback (even though it was very unlikely that he would have ever made it back to the field).

During his NFL career, Johnson played for the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, before being released following the domestic violence incident.
