Mario Chalmers came up big for the Miami Heat in game 2 of the NBA Finals, which is something many Heat followers are used to seeing. Chalmers has stepped up in big moments before, but can he do it again in game 3?

When LeBron James was struggling offensively, Chalmers offered his hand to his teammate and the two players opened up the Spurs defense. James and Chalmers hooked up on several possessions in the second half, utilizing each others strengths in the pick and roll. Whether it was Rio draining a three-point shot, driving to the basket or creating space for LeBron, Chalmers did all the right things offensively.

Chalmers finished the game with a team and game-high 19 points, and reminded everyone that he is there. Last season, Rio also came up big in the NBA Finals, when he dropped 25 points in game 4 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Chalmers will always stay confident, and when his shot is falling, Miami is very hard to stop. However, he does have a tendency to go cold and find himself benched, but Erik Spoelstra would be smart to involve Chalmers in the pick and roll action with LeBron early in game 3.
