Robert Griffin III ‘Pretty Confident’ He’ll Open Washington Redskins Training Camp
By Josh Sanchez
Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is continuing his strong efforts to return to the team as soon as possible, and today he let reporters know that he is still mentally prepared to return to the team for training camp. If Griffin can receive medical clearance, his mental preparation will be all that holds him back from returning to his old self.
Per Grant Paulsen, Redskins Beat Reporter for 106.7 THE FAN in DC:
Redskins camp begins July 25.
Griffin went on to say that he will remain at Redskins facilities for the next few weeks while he continues rehabbing his knee. At the beginning of July, he will take a break for his honeymoon, before returning and hopefully being ready to go for the start of camp.
As an added note from Paulsen, Griffin has another meeting with Dr. James Andrews next week.
It almost seems like a guarantee at this point that Griffin will be ready to go by the time the regular season rolls around, he just needs to hope he is not rushing himself back for camp and risking a setback.
