Tired of the opposition always grabbing onto his facemask, Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle decided he needed to take action. What action would that be? Coming up with a new facemask, of course.

Dockett, with assistance from the good folks at Bad-Ass Masks, put together the super villain-esque mask during the offseason which Dockett premiered during the Arizona Cardinals recent fanfest.

Per Shutdown Corner:

"The mask, which was the handiwork of Bad-Ass Masks, features six horizontal bars and one vertical in the middle that divides a whopping 18 diagonal bars, nine on each side of the vertical bar. According to the Facebook page for Bad-Ass Masks, this model is named the “Freight Train”."

The mask has somewhat of a resemblance to the mask of New York Giants defender Justin Tuck, who says his Schutt-designed grill is unique to him.

The tightly woven bars should help keep straying fingers out of Dockett’s mask as he had hoped (except for that giant gap at the top), though, I feel sorry for the equipment manager who’s going to spend a few hours digging the grass and dirt out of it.
