When he was signed in the offseason by the Golden State Warriors, many thought that guard Brandon Rush would be able to provide the team with great scoring chances and would compliment Stephen Curry coming off the bench. But that all changed when he savagely tore his ACL and had to sit the entire season because of it. But Rush will back back with the Warriors in 2013-14, as according to HoopsRumors.com, Rush has exercised his player option and will return next season.

Per HoopRumors.com and Luke Adams:

"Brandon Rush has officially exercised his 2013/14 player option to remain with the Warriors, agent Mark Bartelstein confirms to Hoops Rumors. According to RealGM.com’s transactions log, Rush made the decision official earlier this week."

The decision to come back next season really was the only option Rush had, as hat ACL injury seriously damaged his value in the eyes of team everywhere. That’s not to say he wouldn’t have gotten a contract, as the Chicago Bulls had eyes on him last year and love a good bargain when they can get one.

But Golden State has quickly become one of the best young teams in the West, so being a part of that and being able to come off the bench as a part of the team is something that will not only be an attractive opportunity for Rush, but it could give him a chance to show off for other teams and get a nice contract like someone Nate Robinson or J.R. Smith is now due thanks to stellar seasons.
