To update a previous item, the Boston Celtics apparently have far more interest in acquiring Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan as opposed to point guard Eric Bledsoe as reported earlier.

Per Ramona Shelburne:

"DeAndre Jordan — not Bledsoe– seems to be Boston’s primary focus right now. “They really want him,” source says."

With Rajon Rondo already on the roster, Bledsoe, talented as he is didn’t make a ton of sense but the former Kentucky Wildcat should prove to be a much more valuable asset than an aging Kevin Garnett, assuming any trade between the two franchises goes down. That said, a big man to anchor the middle would certainly fit Boston’s current roster more.

If you missed it earlier, the Celtics and Clippers are in “deep” discussions about a trade that would send either Kevin Garnett and/or Paul Pierce to Los Angeles in exchange for the aforementioned DeAndre Jordan or the earlier rumored Eric Bledsoe. In addition, Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers would be released from his contractual obligations with the C’s and would go to the Clippers, though he specifically can not be “traded” in the typical sense.
