NBA Trade Rumors — Things are changing pretty quick now in the rumor mill, as most reports on the potential blockbuster trade involving the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers are somewhat conflicting. It now seems that Doc Rivers will not be included as part of the potential deal.

Both teams are under a lot of pressure and are looking to either get this deal done as soon as possible or move in another direction, as the outcome of these negotiations will have major effect on what both teams do moving forward.

It now seems that the Clippers intend to offer the head coaching job to either Lionel Hollins or Brian Shaw. Could this be a sign of the deal collapsing already? Hollins reportedly impressed in his interview with the Clippers, so opting for another coach is not necessarily a plan-b kind of a case for L.A.

The discussions seem to have slowed down a little and it will be very interesting to follow the developments of this potential blockbuster over the next few days.

Another possibility is that the Clippers really don’t want to give Boston Eric Bledsoe, and have thus decided not to push for Rivers. Bledsoe is a great trading chip that can be packaged into other deals, and perhaps the Clippers hope to keep him by not asking for Doc’s coaching services.
