Well, this is getting interesting. Just one day after New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft shared the story of Russian president Vladimir Putin stealing his Super Bowl ring, one of Putin’s spokesmen actually went to CNN to respond to the report.

What Mr. Kraft is saying now is weird,” Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. “I was standing 20 centimeters away from him and Mr. Putin and saw and heard how Mr. Kraft gave this ring as a gift.”

The ring is reportedly kept at Kremlin’s library, along with the rest of the gifts Putin receives.

Putin’s reps believe that it was a gift, while Kraft wanted to get it back but ultimately let it go because of a suggestion from the White House to keep relationships with Russia strong (seriously). As it turns out, the little misunderstanding could cause more harm than good.

Can’t we all just get along?

I mean, if Dennis Rodman and Kim Jong-un are able to built a solid relationship, we have the feeling that Putin and Kraft can hug it out.
