St. Louis Rams Wide Receiver Depth Chart Taking Shape

The St. Louis Rams have an offense loaded with weapons that includes five wide receivers who were drafted within the past three years. The hope is that the team will be able to set quarterback Sam Bradford up for success and potentially return to having the greatest show on turf.

Throughout minicamps and OTAs, the Rams wide receiver depth chart has begun to take shape and the one surprise is last year’s second-round selection Brian Quick sliding all the way to No. 4 on the depth chart.

Chris Givens, who was drafted in the fourth-round of last year’s draft, currently sits as the No. 1 wide receiver, while camp standout Austin Pettis (pictured) is occupying the No. 2 spot.

This year’s first-rounder Tavon Austin is expected to work wonders in the slot.

The Givens, Pettis, Austin trio gives the Rams an impressive set of receivers that provide a great mix of speed, route running and possession skills. When you mix in Quick as the No. 4 and 2013 third-rounder Stedman Bailey at No. 5, the Rams have the ability to run a spread attack and do damage from every area on the field.

That doesn’t even include free agent tight end Jared Cook.

There is little doubt that the Rams offense can be a lot of fun this season, so hopefully they will be able to put everything together during training camp and preseason to live up to their full potential.

If it all comes together and Bradford steps up, the Rams could be a breakout team despite being in a tough division.
